About Rick
I’m Rick Martin, and my heart is to guide others toward meaningful growth. For more than 35 years, I’ve served as a Teacher, Coach, Mental Health counselor, educator and administrator, including 12 years as a Superintendent. Alongside my career, I’ve spent over 30 years coaching and training athletes in basketball. Through these experiences, I’ve worked with individuals, schools, and organizations to help them discover their strengths, overcome challenges, and step into purposeful life goals with confidence. My passion is to help others find their calling in their life: whether in education, business, faith, or sports and to encourage people everywhere to put their faith into action and live with purpose.
Reviews
This true story follows a powerful basketball journey filled wih struggles, hard work, determination, and adversity. It is a moving testimony of how faith in God can guide and sustain through life's toughest challenges. A truly inspiring read that encourages others to never give up on their aspirations and to keep their faith strong.
Rick Martin pulls you into this story immediately. I felt as though I was walking alongside him during every high and low moment; and with every gritty, disciplined task. The descriptions were vivid. The lessons were meaningful. The story was inspiring. Sunday morning clarity meets Friday Night Lights in this classic quick read. I would recommend this book to readers of all ages, and left it on my 16-year old daughter’s nightstand first thing this morning.
Beautifully written, exemplary and admirable story. I was so moved and emotional reading your story. Truly inspirational and memorable!
